KEEM DEFEATS COLARUSSO IN CONSERVATIVE PRIMARY
September 23, 2013
The Erie County Board of Elections reported this week that Supervisor candidate Pat Keem defeated incumbent Supervisor Janis Colarusso in the Conservative Party primary by a vote of 107 to 48.
“This is a great victory for our team,” Keem said. “Many people have told me that receiving 70% of the vote is the largest margin in memory for a write-in campaign. It gives us tremendous momentum as we move on toward the main event --- the November 5th general election.”
“I believe my message of controlling property taxes through the elimination of waste, maintaining quality services and treating all taxpayers with the respect they deserve is resonating with Orchard Park voters,” he added. “I’m more confident than ever that our community is ready for real leadership.”
Keem now will appear on the Republican, Conservative and Independence Party ballot lines in the general election.
